“When I'm choosing music for an advert I'm always looking for the viewer to have something to take away from the song. It can be a lyric or a melody, but I always believe something should stick.
“That is why my favourite piece of music used in a TV commercial is for Chipotle Mexican Grill. When I first saw the film, it totally blew me away.
I genuinely feel no other piece of music would work in this advert.
“I must confess I really dislike Coldplay, who wrote the song, but this version by Willie Nelson is so haunting and the power he places on the “back to the start” take out is beautifully executed by the singer.
“I bet the creatives, who came up with this idea, knew they had a winner on their hands as soon as it arrived. Something tells me it was an easy sell to the client.”
