Music+Sound Awards 2014 | Just a few days left to enter!

2014’s Music+Sound Awards are about to close for entries! It is the last opportunity for advertising professionals to become part of the programme’s recognition of the indispensible role music and sound design play in the world of the media. Closing for entry at midnight (GMT) this Saturday 14th December, anyone who has worked, in any capacity, on a project they feel has been notably enriched by the music or sound, is invited to enter.

Nick Payne, awards co-founder, comments, “We’re delighted that for a third year the music and sound design industries have come together and given their support to put on this event.” Other co-founder, Dan Neale, goes on to say, “Our aim is to offer the incredible wealth of talent out there their moment in the limelight.”

In addition to the ‘Best Sound Design’, ‘Best Original Composition’ and ‘Best Sync / Use of Existing Music’ awards, three new advertising categories have been added to 2014’s Awards:

AGENCY OF THE YEAR
To be awarded to the advertising agency that has shown consistent creative excellence in its use of music and sound during the past 12 months.

USE OF PRODUCTION MUSIC IN ADVERTISING
For the best use of production music in an advertising campaign for any medium.

BEST BRAND AND BAND PARTNERSHIP
For recognising and successfully exploiting the synergy between a brand and a band or artist to enhance and better communicate an advertising campaign.

Jury member, Nils Leonard, Chief Creative Officer at Grey London, has this to say, “Music & Sound have never played such a vital role, not just in communications but also in culture. As a result the Music & Sound awards have grown into a truly important event in the creative calendar.” He adds, “The Music & Sound awards are about rewarding the talent that really understand this very special discipline, and I’m chuffed as a juror to be able to hold aloft the people pushing us all forwards.”

The global branch of the programme, The International Music+Sound Awards, is open for entries worldwide simultaneously, with all submissions into the UK competition automatically being entered, free of charge.
