The Music + Sound Awards 2014

POSTED BY ON 4 March 2014

Once again the big, the bad and the beautiful in the sync sector converged on Limehouse’s top live music venue Troxy for the annual Music + Sound Awards ceremony on February 27.

Designed to recognise and celebrate the indispensable role and outstanding contribution that music and sound design play in the world of visual media the MASAs are now in their third year and have become a firm fixture in the film and music industry awards season, and are sponsored by such as Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Universal Publishing, Native, The Works Music, Wave Studios, Jungle Studios, 750mph, Factory Studios, SIREN, Imagem, Scramble, The Sync Agency, Soho Music, Grand Central Studios, Leland Music, PRS For Music and Universal Production Music.

This year’s event, which was compered by comedian Rob Deering and featured sets by indie rockers The Rain Family and DJ David Holmes, was, according to Music+Sound Awards founder Nick Payne “a night to remember.”

“The work entered this year was of a very high standard,” he continued. “Seeing the winners rewarded for their brilliance was a phenomenal thing to be part of. We congratulate them for their outstanding achievements and for inspiring the visual media industries with their exceptional work.”

Spots created for and by John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, Audi, Wieden + Kennedy, AMV BBDO and BBH singled out for awards by a panel of judges drawn from across the music, sound and advertising industries
