With Brit and BBC Sound Of... nominations to her credit, young Sony signing Izzy Bizu can now claim she has the UK government’s seal of approval too!

The feisty 22 year old’s most recent single White Tiger features in As Seen On TV, the latest ad to support the National Citizen Service (NCS) – a personal and social development programme for 16 and 17 year olds announced by David Cameron in 2011 as part of the Big Society initiative.

According to ambassador Jeni Saint, NCS places new music at the heart of its awareness strategies and has promoted live events with acts like Rudimental, Clean Bandit and The 1975 just as each was breaking.

“Our 2015 screen campaign spoke more to parents and guardians,” Saint continues. “This year we wanted to target the teens themselves and were specifically looking for a track with positive energy and a summer feel.”

“Izzy is clearly an inspirational artist and we knew White Tiger would be a contender as soon as Tom Clough at Sony played it to us.”

The single, Bizu’s third since signing to Sony Epic in 2014, hit number 4 on the Shazam charts the week the NCS campaign launched and has since been placed as the ident for Channel 5 TV show Lip Sync Battle.
